The Advent Ten Commandments of the Stevens

Christmas is coming up and we Stevens have a few ten commandments of our own.                                      The Stevens Advent Ten commandments         1. Thou shalt  take small bites.  2. Thou shalt not lean on thy mother and thou shalt stay in thy seat.  3. Thou shall use nice words and make nice faces.  4. Thou shalt wait until everyone is seated before eating. 5. Thou shalt not belch or toot at the table.6.Thou shall not aggravate thy sibling. 7. Thou shall  not interput, but say excuse me. 8. Show respect. 9. Thou should not repeat himself  more than once. 10. Do not talk with thy mouth full.Try to follow them and you will see how hard it is to have good manners. We all need to improve our manners.My faimly is doing this to improve our hearts for the Advent season. Maybe this would be good for your family.

The Up North Adventure (Part 2)

Well we couldn't just stay at the hotel forever. This was Friday. On Sunday, when we got to the ship's loading dock, my brother and I were very shocked. "This ship is HUGE!" I thought. It sure was. Or so it looked. When I got inside with my family, we all exchanged a look that said "I thought this ship was big." Then we looked for a seat on the bow, or front of the ship. We had been there for an hour before we left the dock. The farther away we got, the bluer the waters got. Soon, however, we saw another ship. A faster more modern one. But it was an unreliable ship. For even though it was faster, it had a tendency to break down. At about 5:00 we reached Ludington. Then we waited about fifteen minutes for our car to come off the ship. When the car came off the ship, we found it and got in. Then we drove home. It was a spectacular vacation.
