Today was my first day of school. I started third grade. So far it's a lot of fun. Just do your best and you'll be okay. As for the actual day, things went well. We've only had one day of school and we've all ready had a test. But on the bright side we get lockers, are older than second graders, and we're the youngest in the school so a whole bunch of kids go ahead of us and we can ask them about the teachers. My teacher's name is Mrs. Courson. I like her a lot. The one thing I miss is West Elementary. We did cursive today, and A phonics test to see if we were reading above grade level. This will be a good year. The lesson I learned today is a good way to make friends. Share something with them and they'll know you want to be their friend.^B^
I am so glad you had a great first day. Our prayers were answered in so many ways. I am looking forward to a triangle year! I love you!

Hi Sweetie B,
After all those nervous days--I'm so glad everything turned out well. I know as a teacher, I used to get as nervous as the kids on the first day. Keep up that positive attitude and dynamite smile--as you'll make new friends quickly. Third grade is a wonderful year and one you'll always remember. Love, you. Nana
